One simple question: Where do you fish the most?

Bij Cuyten geloven we dat goede boilies overal vangen, maar dat de unieke eigenschappen bepalen wanneer ze uitblinken.

Running Tactics

Instant fishing or a feeding spot?

De vraag van de visser

Should I fish right away or set up a feeding spot?

Voeg een afbeelding toe

Every situation is different

Instant fishing is used to quickly explore a new body of water or a new situation. It’s ideal for short sessions, where you actively pursue the fish to force a bite in a short amount of time. Once you understand the situation and start returning regularly to the same body of water, switch to a baiting campaign. By baiting regularly at the same times each day, you build trust with the carp and encourage them to feed. Catching them becomes much easier afterward.

"Scatter feeding = encouraging the fish to actively feed, making it easier to hook them."

— Pro Tip from Mark de Zwart

Plan your feeding sessions at least two sessions in advance, using the same flavor. Trust is built through consistency, not by switching.

Resistance

Keep whitefish and small lobsters out

De vraag van de visser

My feeding area empties too quickly. How do I keep unwanted guests away?

Bigger and louder = more selective

Small fish species like bream and roach will clear out your feeding spot in no time. If you want to target larger carp and avoid whitefish, use larger hook baits—such as a 25- or 30-mm bottom bait. Also, opt for harder boilies that stay in the water longer until a carp finds them, rather than soft boilies that break down quickly.

"25mm wafters are extremely effective for catching whitefish!"

— Pro Tip from Lex Cuyten

The Cuyten Choice

Choose the firmer boilies from the lineup. Spartans, with liver hydrolysate, fish meal, and a powerful monster-crab scent, and Lucas, the tougher, coarse-grained scopex boilie, are both known as sturdy boilies that hold up exceptionally well against unwanted guests. Ideal for obstacle fishing and rough conditions.

Round balls tend to roll away on fast-flowing or sloping banks. Cut or slice your boilies in half so they stay firmly in place at your feeding spot.
